Playing musical instruments in the MRI – the brain on music

Exactly how does understanding to play a music tool alter the mind? Specialist Robert Zatorre and his PhD Student Melanie Segado functioned with Prof. Marcelo Wanderley, a designer in the Schulich School of Music, and his trainee Avrum Hollinger in developing a cello that can be played in an MRI scanner to see just how the mind adjustments as an outcome of playing a music tool.
